Up & over

Up & Over Garage Doors can be the most cost effective products and are wide ranging in styles and designs from a simple horizontal ribbed effect (in steel) to the ever popular Georgian design through to exclusive Solid Cedar Wood doors. Up & Over garage doors are usually fitted between brickwork and come in a range of fixed widths and heights. Up & Over doors swing out from the garage so will require suitable clearance from the car. They can be specified as Canopy (no internal tracks and projects out from the line of the garage door when opened) or Fully Retractable (with tracks and opens to provide a flush finish with the front of the garage). You can specify an up & over garage door as manually operated or with electric operation and remote control (fully retractable required).

If you are looking for improved security or a vertical lift door to provide more flexibility for vehicle parking in front of the door, then check out the styles below...

roll-up garage doors

With electric operation as standard our Securoglide garage doors are a popular choice providing many benefits, including vertical lift (you can park the car right up to the garage door), insulated curtain material providing a strong profile and better security. These doors are usually fitted behind the brick piers (requires minimum 75mm either side) where possible due to the 300mm of headroom required up behind the lintel (the space from under the lintel to the maximum ceiling height). For those wanting the benefits but not having sufficient headroom then the Securoglide Compact is also available. This requires 200mm of headroom but is only available in White, Brown & Fir Green.

If you are interested in the benefits of the vertical lift roll-up door but do not have the headroom or want a wider range of styles including thicker insulation then look no further than a Hormann Sectional Overhead Door below...

Sectional overhead doors (SOHD)

Sectional Overhead Doors are extremely strong and robust doors that can be constructed of insulated panels at either 20mm (EPU) or 42mm (LPU). The Hormann models all have full 4 sided seals to protect the garage from the elements. These doors are usually fitted behind the brick piers (requires 80-100mm approx' either side) where possible due to the standard 210mm hearoom required. They can be specified with a 'low headroom track arrangement' that requires only 115mm of headroom. These doors are available in varying ribbed and georgian styles in both the popular woodgrain effect or a more modern smooth silkgrain. You can specify a SOHD with or without electric operation.
